DHAKA, Dec 31, 2016 (BSS) - Secretary of Local Government Division Abdul Malek and Director General of Prime Minister's Office and Project Director of Access to information (a2i) Programme Kabir Bin Anwar have been elected as president and secretary general respectively of Bangladesh Administration Service Association (BASA) for the period 2016-17.
The executive committee of the BASA were elected at its annual meeting held yesterday (Friday) at the office of the association, a press release said.
BASA Outgoing President and Prime Minister's Principal Secretary Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury presided over the meeting.
Vice presidents of the committee are - Secretary of Implementation
Monitoring and Evaluation Division Farid Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Member of Planning Commission AN Samsuddin Azad Chowdhury, Additional secretary of the Agriculture Ministry Md. Mosharraf Hossain , Commissioner of Dhaka Division Helaluddin Ahmed and Prime Minister's Private Secretary(1) Sajjadul Hasan.
Joint Secretary of the Home Ministry Md Nurul Islam has been elected as treasurer of BASA.
