DHAKA, Jan 16, 2017 (BSS) - An 850-member infantry contingent will be deployed at the UNMISS (United Nations Mission in South Sudan).
Bangladesh Army has been working as peacekeepers at South Sudan with reputation and efficiency since 2011, an official release of ISPR said.
As per the decision of UN headquarters, a decision has been taken to deploy 850 infantry members will be deployed at South Sudan at the quickest possible time.
The advanced team of the new contingent team left Dhaka for South Sudan on January 13.
