A total of 5,243 schools and madrasahs under the general education and madrasa boards achieved 100 percent pass record in Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations 2019.
This year, 474 more schools and madrasahs attained the distinction of cent percent pass compared to 4,769 in 2018, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni during a press briefing at the secretariat.
All the examinees from 3,400 schools and madrasahs under the nine general education boards passed the JSC examination in 2019 while the figure was 3,042 last year. Besides, 1,843 institutions under the madrasah board recorded 100 percent pass in the JDC examination this year compared to 1,727 in 2018.
The number of institutions with zero pass in JSC or JDC examinations has come down to 33 this year against 43 last year.
Earlier, Dipu Moni handed the copies of JSC and JDC examination results while State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen the copies of PEC and Ebtedayee examination results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobahban in the morning.
