Mobile courts of the district
administration today fined 31 persons in different places for
violating Covid-19 health guidelines.
During the raids, a total of 31 people were fined Taka 37,100 for
not wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing. The mobile
court also distributed masks among the people free of cost.
Afroza Afsana, assistant commissioner of the district administration
conducted the raids in various places, including Shahidullah Kaiser
Road, Mizan Road, Station Road and Bara Bazar area in the district
town this afternoon.
During the raid, a total of 11 people were fined Taka 18,800 for not
using masks, not maintaining social distancing and not maintaining
instructions of COVID-19 health rules during the countywide lockdown.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Daganbhuiyan upazila of the
district Nahida Akter Tania conducted a drive in different places in
the upazila. During the drive, five businesses establishments’ were
fined Tk 2,500 for keeping the shops open and two other traders were
fined Tk 500 for not wearing masks.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Fulgazi upazila Ferdousi Begum
conducted raids in different places in the upazila and fined three
business houses Tk 12,000 for not having a price list and violating
hygiene rules during the operation. Besides, a pedestrian was fined Tk
100 for not wearing masks.
In another drive, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Chagalnaiya
upazila Sajia Taher conducted raids in different places in the
upazila. During the drive, 10 people were fined Taka 8100 for keeping
the shop open and not wearing masks.
