DHAKA - Awami League will organize a three-day workshop on "Role of Members of Parliament in Social Media" at the party president's political office at Dhanmondi here from tomorrow.
Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will inaugurate the workshop at 10am while Prime Minister's ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy will be present as guest of honor, a press release said here today.
State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak will also attend the function.
A manual for the training has been prepared by Awami League's research cell Centre for Research and Information (CRI) aiming to put focus on using new avenues, including the likes of social media, to portray and showcase most of the development activities took place under Prime Minister's Sheikh Hasina's government, CRI Assistant Coordinator Tonmoy Ahmed told BSS.
Tonmoy, also a member of the newly constituted Central Publicity and Publications Sub-Committee of Awami League, said, Another goal of the workshop is to build a communication network with our MPs so that we can provide them with all the latest development updates and help them bring maximum fruition of social media in campaign for the party.
