3 college students killed in Sirajganj road accident

Three college students were killed when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle on the Hatikumrul-Bonpara highway in Mannanagar area under Tarash upazila of the district today.

The deceased were identified as Sujan Hossain, 19, son of Helal Uddin, a resident of Nandanpur village in Puthia upazila of Rajshahi, Alamgir Hossain, 20, son of Barek Sarkar, resident of Dhulkhagrakhali village in Belkuchi upazila of the district and Siam Ahmed, 18, a resident of the area.

All the victims were students of Natore City College.

The accident occurred in the area around 6.30am when an unidentified vehicle hit the motorcycle, leaving its three riders dead on the spot, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station SAM Badrul Kabir told BSS.

They were going to Natore from Sirajganj.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and handed over to their family members, the OC added.
