Bangladesh to face off USA again for T20 WC warm up

TEXAS, Just a couple of days after losing the three-match T20 International series, Bangladesh are set to take on The United States of America (USA) once again, this time for an official warm-up game of the T20 World Cup (WC). The venue of the first warm-up game remains the same-the cursed Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium--where the USA gave them their most shocking experience in their cricket history. The match starts from 9.30 AM Bangladesh Time. While Bangladesh were expected to ease to the series victory, USA grabbed a five-wicket win in the first match and then snatched a six-run victory in the second game to win the first ever series against a Test nation. USA then took a bold move to rest their four first choice players including Captain Monank Patel. The move didn't go augurs well for them as Bangladesh came back strongly to crush them by 10 wickets and avoided the whitewash. USA may well bring back those four players again for the first official warm up game against Bangladesh in a bid t o give them game time again for better World Cup preparation. Bangladesh, however, wants to leave the memory of the past series behind them when they take on USA again. A series defeat to USA, what sparked a strong criticism and angered the fans back at home vehemently, only could be cured if Bangladesh plays well in T20 World Cup. The step to bury the nightmare of the USA series will start against this USA indeed. Bangladesh will take on India on June 1 for their second and final warm up game of the T20 World Cup. Rishad wants to be top wicket-taker in T20 World Cup

TEXAS, Bangladesh legspinner Rishad Hossain wants to see his name as the top wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup even though his side has been experiencing a torrid time following a series defeat to the United States of America (USA). "As a bowler, of course, I want to see my name as the highest wicket-taker of the T20 World Cup," Rishad said in a video posted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today. "As an all-rounder also I want to see myself at a top level." The upcoming T20 World Cup, which begins on June 2, will be Rishad's first big tournament after a successful debut. In a country where legspinner hardly could thrive for a longer period, Rishad has already showcased his talent to be the big thing. Also his batting is a plus point for the country as he has the ability to play big shots at the death overs. The 21-year old, so far, has claimed 15 wickets in 17 T20 Internationals at an economy rate of slightly above seven. After playing just seven T20i innings, he had already hit a half-c entury and possess a strike rate of over 135, which is eye-popping given the other players strike rate. Rishad, however, said that he has the self-belief that enables him to hit big sixes at will. "Every batter wants to hit big shots and I'm no exception. It is imperative to have faith in yourself to hit sixes. I just try my best, I don't do anything special. I don't look at the bowler or anything else, I just take it ball by ball."
