A total of 1805 poor and marginal farmers
got Agri incentives in Muktagacha upazila of the district.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid MP distributed the high
yielding boro seeds and fertilisers among the farmers as agriculture
assistance on Muktagacha upazila premises yesterday.
Upazila Agriculture Office sources said seeds and fertilisers were
distributed free of cost for boosting boro production in the upazila.
Each farmer received 5 kgs of high yielding boro seeds, 10 kgs MOP and 10
kgs DAP fertilisers.
On the occasion, upazila agriculture office organised a function on its
premises.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Mansur, Mayor of Muktagacha Pourashava
Billal Hossen Sarker, Upazila Parisad Chairman (in-charge) Alhaj Md Arab Ali,
Upazila Agriculture Officer Amdadul Haque, among others, were present.
The state minister said the present government is agriculture friendly and
has gained significant achievement in all sectors especially in agriculture
sector.
“We have already achieved self sufficiency in food by using modern agri
technologies,” he said.
