A court here today landed 13 BNP men including its central ICT secretary Azizul Bari Helal and District convenor Amir Ezaz Khan to Khulna jail today after rejecting their bail prayers in connection with two separate anti-state activities cases filed on 11 February last.

Senior Sessions Judge of Khulna Mir Shafiqul Alam passed the order as the accused surrendered before the court with bail prayers.

Earlier, the BNP men got ad-interim bail from the High Court for three months in those cases.

The BNP men swooped on the police on duty during their procession and tried to create anarchy and attacked them.

Police filed two cases against over 200 BNP men with Dighalia and Dumuria Police Stations on the same night on charges of anti-state activities, anarchy and brought out procession without taking permission from the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and the Superintendent of Khulna district Police.
