100 officials grilled in graft cases: ACC chief

DHAKA Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmud today said a total of nearly 100 government officials have been arrested in the graft cases in the past three and half years.

Almost 100 government officials have been caught by the ACC in the past three and half years for taking bribes, he told the inaugural function of special training programme of the ACC's 2nd batch public prosecutors at the ACC headquarter here.

He said it may not be possible to eradicate corruption fully, but it is possible to turn down to a tolerable level.

Among others, ACC Secretary Muhammad Delwar Bakht, Legal Division Director General M Mafizur Rahman Bhuiyan and Training and ICT Division Director General AKM Sohel addressed on the occasion.
