DHAKA, Jan 2, 2017 (BSS) - Robi and ICT Division have agreed to work together in utilizing the biggest online school of the country, Robi-10 Minute School.
ICT Division's "Learning and Earning" project will now be using the free quality digital education platform to complement its efforts to engage with the youth in promoting the concept of learning while earning.
Launched in January 2014, the "Learning and Earning" project aims to enhance the capacity of freelancers to increase self-employment by encouraging youth to pursue online outsourcing jobs, said a press release today.
By June 2017, the project aims to train up 20,000 girls having passed SSC/HSC exams on basic IT/ICT literacy, about 35,000 people on basic and advanced outsourcing and 1,920 journalists on outsourcing.
As part of the project, ICT Division has started organizing Learning and Earning Mela from Manikganj on 1st December 2016 to encourage youth to pursue a career in freelancing.
Going forward, the mela will be organized in all the 64 districts. So far, the mela has been organized in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Natore, Rajshahi, Chapainawabganj, Narail, Chuyadanga, Kushtia, and Pabna district.
In these melas, Robi promoted 10 Minute School (www.10minuteschool.com) among the youth and the teachers of the locality on how they can avail quality education at their fingertips free of cost.
Ayman Sadiq, founder of the 10 Minute Schools explained how this free digital education platform is taking quality education content to students all over the country. He also highlighted that 10 Minute School has already started live classes on ICT as per the national curriculum to help students better learn the subject.
10 Minute School is a content based online platform with over 910 video tutorials and 1000s of quizzes to cater to the growing needs of its 200,000+ subscribers.
