Over one crore online users visited the officially verified facebook page of Awami League in the last eight days while over 7 lakh users watched live streaming from the page coinciding the 2-day 20th National Conference of the country's largest political party.
"Between October 15 to 22, more than one crore online users got connected with the campaign from our facebook page," Awami League's research cell Center for Research and Information (CRI) executive director Sabbir Bin Shams told BSS.
Center for Research and Information (CRI), research wing of the party, looked after the entire supervision of the live coverage on the two-day council.
He said: "We posted all latest incidents of the two-day council at social media facebook and twitter opening up an opportunity for the party leaders, activists and others to get connected online with the council venue Suhrawardi Uddyan."
Sabbir said we wanted to disseminate the development activities of the incumbent Awami League government through the social media and help people to know the glorious past of the oldest political party in this subcontinent, which waged the Bengali nationalist movement nearly seven decades ago and subsequently steered the country's 1971 Liberation War.
