Xiaomi is definitely trying to fill the demand and capability gap of their consumers with the debut of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series. Rather than pressurizing on the budget, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is offering more and more to their customers at a reasonable budget range. But the question is, do these phones offer quality? Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 11 Pro in the UK on 1st November, which has already captured the attention of budget-conscious smartphone lovers. This article has discussed all the features of the phone.

Key features of Redmi Note 11 Pro

Design

Not only has the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro undergone some internal updates, but it has also received a new coat of paint.

The 163.7 x 76.2 x 8.3 mm phone has a back covered in an iridescent frost-looking glass finish. It is available in Mysterious Black, Timeless Purple, Forest Green, and Milky Way Blue.

Perhaps the most visible new feature is the back-camera housing. Similar to Apple’s camera housing, the Redmi Note 11 Pro’s is a rounded square positioned in the phone’s top-left corner.

However, it differs significantly from Apple’s design, with the primary camera conspicuously encircled by a silver border and the other two lenses taking a back seat.

The phone’s huge screen curls gently over the handset’s left and right sides, reaching all four corners, with a selfie camera integrated into a nicely positioned hole-punch notch in the top-left corner.

Display

Although it comes with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400), the Redmi Note 11 Pro follows the trend of high-refresh 120Hz screens. The Redmi Note 11 Pro operates at 60Hz by default; to make use of the 120Hz mode, consumers must activate it in the display area of the phone’s settings menu.

With two preset color profiles and an “auto” option that changes colors depending on ambient illumination. The “original” option is the most realistic in terms of color reproduction, producing a Delta E average of 0.71.

Colors across the spectrum are almost spot on, without a single complaint from my tired eyes. The display brightness is comparable when the auto option is used, and the display supports HDR content. Additionally, since this is an AMOLED display, the contrast ratio is almost ideal at Infinity:1.

Performance, Software, and Others Features

Excellent news has come in terms of performance. The Note 11 Pro has included a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, which is one of the company’s 6nm SoCs. The chipset has improved the overall efficiency and performance of the phone.

The MediaTek Dimensity 920 in the Redmi Note 11 Pro outperformed the previous MediaTek model according to the Geekbench 5 single- and multi-core CPU tests. Additionally, it has the ability to outscore the Samsung Exynos 2100 in the performance test but fell short of the speeds in terms of the iPhone 12.

Additionally, improved graphics rendering is planned, with the inbuilt Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.

To put this in context — competitor phones have varying maximum refresh rates and resolutions – the Mali-G68 MC4 offscreen score is comparable to the A14 Bionic. It is also quicker than Samsung’s Exynos 2100.

Apart from that, the Note 11 Pro has standard flagship features such as quick 67W charging through USB-C, 50W wireless charging compatibility, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connection, and a protective layer of Gorilla Glass Victus. Additionally, it has an optical fingerprint sensor behind the display, which unlocks the phone in a flash, even when it’s raining.

Rear Cameras

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is equipped with an unusual array of cameras. To begin, it features the same 108MP camera and is likewise capable of recording in 8K at 30fps or 24fps. This is supplemented with an 8MP (f/2.4) 123-degree ultrawide camera and a 2MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens. While a telephoto lens is perhaps more helpful, this camera takes excellent up-close shots, so there are no big concerns here.

Naturally, the Redmi Note 11 Pro’s ability to capture detail is much superior to that of the iPhone 12 Pro, but Xiaomi’s back-end image processing system is also far superior to Samsung’s. To my eyes, the Note 11 Pro’s color balance is more balanced, but the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra’s contrast is boosted, resulting in artificially black shadows.

However, the software of the Note 11 Pro may be a little cumbersome at times, and the ultrawide camera is nothing spectacular. While scene-packed photographs appear great in well-lit scenes, the dull f/2.4 aperture struggles a little after sunset.

To return to the positives, the Note 11 Pro’s nighttime photography (with the primary camera) is superb. By striking the ideal balance of increasing an image’s brightness – without adding visual noise, blowing out street lights, or adding artificial hues – the Redmi Note 11 Pro’s twilight images are unmatched, close to the iPhone 12 Pro.

Front Camera

The XiaomiRedmi Note 11 Pro’s camera capabilities are quite remarkable. The default front shooting lens, which records “pixel-binned” 16MP photographs, is one of the finest, capable of taking shots with plenty of detail, a muted color palette, and well-judged contrast. Blackwall Basin’s lock has never looked so good.

Battery and Charging

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro falls short of expectations in terms of battery life. With a battery life of 5160mAh, the Note 11 Pro’s video rundown score is average, similar to the iPhone 12 but falling short of the Galaxy S21 by more than two hours. When switched to 120Hz, 11 Pro’s battery life drops. The phone also comes with a 67W super speed charger that promises to charge the phone fully in 43 minutes.

Price of Redmi Note 11 Pro in Bangladesh

The phone has not been officially released in Bangladesh yet. The 8GB × 128GB variant is available in the UK at a price of BDT 19781. The USD to BDT conversion rate here is 1 USD = 86.01 BDT. However, the price may vary depending on tax issues and the company policy.

Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro is inarguably a complete package, demonstrating once again that there is no need to pay exorbitant amounts on the newest Apple or Samsung device. Consider saving hundreds of dollars and buying up a Redmi Note 11 Pro instead. None will be disappointed; this is an absolutely fantastic smartphone.
