The renowned smartphone brand Poco seems to be more focused on rebranding Xiaomi’s phones from the Redmi series. Following the legacy of C3 and M2 Pro, POCO is bringing another rebranded Xiaomi phone called Poco X3 GT. This time, POCO is rebranding Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. This latest Poco phone debuts on 28th July in Malaysia. This new model is expected to complement the previous X2 GT and X2 models. Reasonably the hype is high, and this article will elaborate on all the crucial aspects of this addition to the GT series.
Key Features of Xiaomi POCO X3 GT
When it comes to design, the POCO X3 GT has featured a unique starry effect in its stargaze black-colored variant. It looks unique and gives a “Pro” feel. The phone is also available in Blue/Green and White colors.
It is quite a large phone (193g) with 8.9mm thickness and 163.3 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm dimension. The top right corner of the back panel houses the four cameras. The main body is plastic made; however, Poco has placed a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on display for protection.
On the right side of the phone, there is an engraved fingerprint sensor and a volume rocker. The left side rooms have a dual sim card slot. A Type-C port will be found at the bottom. Among all the other features, the lack of a 3.5 mm jack and a room for a micro-SD card in the sim slot might feel unaligned.
Display
Poco has not used an AMOLED panel in the X3 GT model even though it is the rebranded version of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the successor of Poco X2. Interestingly, both of these phones have AMOLED displays. Not to mention, many POCO fans can be disheartened at the beginning by noticing X3 GT’s display feature.
However, the Poco X3 GT offers a 6.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with a 450 nit brightness level and up to 120Hz refresh rate. With a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution level, users will have a premium experience from the display part.
On the display, a thin punch hole has been placed for the front camera, but it doesn’t disturb at all while watching videos or playing games.
Rear Camera Setup
Besides the display, in the camera section, a lot has declined from Redmi Note 10 Pro to Poco X3 GT. Instead of Note 10’s 108MP primary camera, X3 GT launches a 64MP primary lens. The triple camera set up of the latest Poco phone has two more lenses – an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. However, Poco X2 had an extra 2MP depth sensor. The reason behind this might lie in the hardware of the X3 GT.
In terms of the performance of the primary camera, users will get an average experience. In some cases, a lack of depth sensor can pock like a thorn. But still, the overall picture quality is satisfying. Though low light shots are not fully noiseless, in brighter places, users can have some prestigious shots. The rear camera can record videos in up to 4K resolution at 30 frames second. But for 1080p and 720p resolutions, the videos can have respectably 120fps and 960fps.
To summarize the total rear camera setup, it can be said that there is nothing impressive about the lenses. All of them do their jobs that have already been seen on contemporary phones.
Front Camera
The front-facing camera has kept the same 16MP lens as the Redmi Note 10. It takes comparably high-quality selfies, and the portrait mode is also efficient. Though this camera hasn’t touched the mark of its ancestors, it still stands out in the race.
Performance, Hardware, and UI
This is the section where Poco X3 GT has raised itself to an incomparable height. Compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 and 732 processors of Poco X2 and Redmi Note 10 Pro respectively, Poco X3 GT comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 5G Octa-core processor. It is like getting almost twofold more power. Furthermore, the android 11 based MiUi 12.5.1 is also an enhancement for the GT series.
Regarding the graphical side, the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, along with the powerful chipset, offers super performance. Users can play high spec games like PUBG, Asphalt 9, Call of Duty, and so on smoothly with high resolution. The phone is also pretty smooth while multitasking and internet browsing.
Battery and Charging
The Poco X3 GT presents a 5000 mAh battery. It is not appreciable news for the heavy users as gaming in the high config and watching movies drain charges rapidly. Active users can get one-day battery support for seamless use. Regular users will be able to get one and a half days of support easily.
But what adds an extra layer of premium touch is the 67W superfast charger that comes with the Poco X3 GT. It takes around 40 minutes to charge the phone fully.
POCO X3 GT Price in Bangladesh
There are three variations of the Poco X3 GT – 128GB × 6GB RAM, 128GB × 8GB RAM, and 256GB × 8GB RAM. The official price is not yet confirmed for Bangladesh; however, taking the price in India as the standard, the price here could be around BDT 22,800. The INR to BDT conversion rate here is 1.14
