Work for promotion of Dhaka-Seoul trade ties, President asks envoy

President Abdul Hamid has advised newly-appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to South Korea Muhammad Delwar Hossain to work for the promotion of bilateral relations, including increasing Korean investment in Bangladesh.

The President said this when Delwar Hossain paid a courtesy call on him at Bangabhaban on Tuesday evening.

President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.

President Hamid said Bangladesh’s trade and investment relations with South Korea are excellent.

During the meeting, the new Ambassador sought the guidance and cooperation of the President in discharging his duties.

Secretary to the President’s Office Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salah Uddin Islam, Press Secretary Joynal Abedin and Secretary ( attachment) Md. Wahidul Islam Khan were present.
