Symphony Z33 Full Review

Design

The Symphony Z33 has a standard design that lifts itself above and beyond its price point. The phone’s 164.4 x 75.7 x 8.63mm dimension gives it a tab-like appearance. It weighs about 190g. Users may find it difficult to operate it with one hand.

The phone’s overall design is appealing and functional. Users will not be able to complain about the look thanks to the vertical textured pattern on the back with a starry and glowing gradient effect. The subtle texture gives both a hand-feel with a good visual feel. It allows for a better grip on this massive phone while protecting the back from finger stains.

On the back of the phone, a dual-camera bump and a fingerprint sensor will be found. The sensor appears to be a bit lofty than average phones. So, reaching it with your fingers requires much effort. The volume controllers’ buttons and the power button are located on the phone’s right side. The dual SIM card slot is on the left, while a loudspeaker and an audio jack on the bottom. Clearly, consumers will receive more than just the basics.

Symphony Z33 is available in several colors, like black, blue, green, and pink.

Display

It has a 6.52-inch Full HD, IPS display with a resolution of up to 1600*720. The size of its display is significantly higher than the price of many other entry-level phones. The phone’s display has a good refresh rate, which adds to its toughness. That means users of the phone will have a positive experience with the touch response.

The brightness level is quite low which appears to be an issue. However, with a 263ppi color density on the display, the phone offers much promise in the picture quality segment. A teardrop lens housing can be found on the upper mid area of the display. In addition, users will find chins and bezels thinner. The display supports 16.7 million color systems and projects high resolution videos and pictures without hurdles.

Cameras on the Back

The primary camera panel includes two cameras. The primary camera has a 13MP wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The aperture is F/1.85. The images produced by these lenses are average, and nothing out of the ordinary will be produced by Symphony Z33 cameras.

The delivered images may appear to have a slightly warm tone. A certain amount of warm tone sometimes adds value to the overall look of the images, while other times it detracts from the ambiance. In low light, the contrast increases.

The primary camera duo comes with a lot of features like AI, Watermark, Portrait Mode, Night Mode, Insight Google lens, Motion, Enhanced lowlight photo, Slow-motion, QR Code, Face beauty, and HDR. Photos taken at night require extra care to achieve a high level of quality.

With the primary camera, users can record videos at 30 frames per second for a maximum resolution of 720p.

Secondary Camera

An 8MP selfie lens is housed in the front teardrop holder. Given the current trend in other low-cost phones, the Symphony Z33 has included the maximum capacity lens for a front facing camera. The front lens simply boosts the brightness of the image. This results in clear photos, but the image becomes smoother due to the lack of sharpness and details. Portrait mode photographs are of somewhat average quality and add nothing to the overall performance of the camera.

Performance, System and Graphics

The phone is powered by an octa-core 1.8GHZ 12 nm processor. This chipset is more likely to be found in low-range phones. Moreover, Symphony Z33 has a 680 MHz GPU installed to complement the processor. Combinedly, the phone provides regular performance and a low-level gameplay.

Symphony Z33 is blessed with 3GB RAM which out wins many competitor phones from other brands. And, the provided 32GB built-in memory is enough for regular operations. However, using a microSD card, the storage capacity can be enhanced up to 128GB.

Users will find the overall gameplay quite poor because the phone lags while running high- or mid resolution games like PUBG, Call of Duty, or Asphalt. Gamers should avoid playing such games because it can put strain on the processor. When it comes to the operating system, the Symphony Z33 runs on Android 11. So, it will smooth out some tasks and provide a better experience.

Battery and Charging

This brings us to another of Symphony Z33’s strong points. It has a 5000 mAh battery. It can keep the Symphony Z33 running for up to two days on a single charge for a regular user. With long hours of gaming and video watching, users can run the phone for at least a single day.

The phone comes with a charger in the box. The charger takes a fair amount of time to raise the battery level once the phone is plugged.

Price of Symphony Z33 in Bangladesh

There is only one version of the Symphony Z33 available in the market. It comes with a 3GB RAM and a 32GB ROM capacity. Users will have to pay BDT 8,790 to get the phone.

Conclusion

The market for low-cost phones has become one of the most competitive one. It’s difficult to raise one’s head in such a crowd. The Symphony Z33 has made an effort with its ideal design, large display, powerful RAM, and standard battery. When compared to the price, all of the other deficiencies do not appear to be issued. People seeking an entry level budget phone under BDT 10,000 with the capacity of handling regular tasks can choose the phone without thinking much.
