Police recovered the body of an unidentified female in a wheelchair in the capital’s Badda area.
The identity of the 55-year old female could not be known till Tuesday evening, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam of Badda Police Station.
The body was found with her head tilted down in the wheelchair on the street in front of house no- 49, Road 11, Merul Badda DIT Project, on Monday evening, he said.
After the legal process, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital Morgue for autopsy on Tuesday morning.
The body has been wearing a black and white printed dress (maxi) and marks of old wounds were found in different parts of her body.
It was learned that she used to beg sitting in the wheelchair. The exact cause of death would be known after the autopsy, SI Saiful added.
