Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of principal Abdur Rashid, eminent educationist and father-in-law of State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury.
She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family.
Principal Rashid breathed his last this afternoon at a city hospital. He was 86. He left behind three sons, three daughters and a host of relatives and well wishers.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Principal Abdur Rashid.
