Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Sirajganj-6 MP Hasibur Rahman Swapan.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to his bereaved family members.
Swapan, also the President of Awami League Shahjadpur upazila unit, passed away at a hospital in Turkey early Thursday at the age of 67, officials said.
The three-time MP was undergoing treatment in Turkey for his kidney-related complications.
