A police constable’s hanging body was recovered Friday from Balurmath playground at Stadium Para area in Magura.
The deceased was identified as Md Tuhin, 23, a police constable of Chowgacha police station in Jashore.
The body was hanging from the horizontal bar of a goalpost at the ground. The knot was coloured plastic wiring.
Magura police station officer-in-charge Monzurul Alam said the devotees of a nearby mosque noticed the body around 6am and informed the police.
Brother of the deceased, Tushar, said that Tuhin had been living in Magura with his family on furlough since the pandemic started. He seemed a bit indifferent over the last few days, he added.
The body has been kept at the police station and was being prepared for an autopsy, OC Monzurul said.
