Full Review of Moto Edge 20 5G

Design

The design of Motorola Edge 20 gives a premium feel with a simple and minimal tone. The plastic build back won’t bother much as there will be an aluminum frame and a Corning gorilla glass protection on the front. People who have experienced with Motorola won’t get much to celebrate in terms of design as no design feature is new.

The phone keeps a dimension of 163 x 76 x 7 mm and weighs 163 g. The top right corner of the phone’s back has a three-lens camera panel with an LED flashlight. The Motorola branding is also good-looking. The body feels very light, and users will find the phone easy to carry and operate. The front has a tiny punch hole camera housing with a very thin chin and bezels. The overall design of Motorola Edge 20 is satisfactory. The phone will come in three color variants- Frost Grey. Frost White, and Frost Emerald.

Display

Coming with a large 6.7-inch OLED display, Motorola Edge 20 is almost a tab-like screen. It’s an appreciable feature in the phone and capable of satisfying all types of users. 1B color has been introduced in the display and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The display also has HDR10+ certification.

The display maintains a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution where the pixel distribution is 385 PPI. Gamers or regular users, everyone will find it nice and handy. The higher refresh rate will provide a better touch response which is a party for the gamers. General users will also be able to watch videos with great color rasterization. The punch hole camera is centered and polished in a way that it doesn’t bother users while watching videos.

Motorola has presented a good brightness level. Operating in daylight won’t give much trouble, while indoor operations are superb.

Primary Camera

This is probably the most mind-boggling feature of Motorola Edge 20 5G. It has brought a three-camera module on its back where the primary camera is 108 MP. The other two lenses are an 8MP telephone camera and a 16MP ultrawide sensor. Apparently, all lenses are robust, and with such highly capable cameras, Motorola has already lain a mark on the present smartphone market.

The primary camera doesn’t offer OIS when the telephoto lens offers it. A 108MP camera brings an unparallel power to the phone when it comes to capturing photos and recording videos. Pictures shot in broad daylight are mind-blowing as from sharpness to smoothness, everything seems perfect. Low light captures are considerably great as they don’t show much noise and emphasize details. Users can capture 4K videos at 30fps and lower resolution videos at up to 120fps.

The huge ultrawide and telephoto lenses impose astonishingly fine details on the images. Average depth sensors and macro lenses that are available in most handsets have no chance to win the race with Motorola Edge 20’s lenses.

Front Camera

The selfie camera in Motorola Edge 20 is a 32MP lens that somehow knows the reason for its existence. It can take marvelous selfies while its portrait mode is highly efficient. Users will get all the elements available in an image that is needed to make it great. They will also be able to record 1080p resolution videos at 30fps. Elegant and efficient, the cameras of Motorola Edge 20 will blow everyone’s mind.

Performance, Software, and UI

The Motorola Edge 20 features the newly introduced Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 6nm chipset. It is an octa-core processor with a net 2.4 GHz clock speed. It can handle all types of tasks much faster and even support multitasking. The app install time is at its minimum while operating, and switching from app to app is straightforward.

For supporting gaming graphics, Motorola Edge 20 presents Adreno 642L GPU. It’s powerful enough to handle high config games at their pick resolution. Popular high-definition games like Call of Duty, PUBG, Ghenshin Impact play smoothly on the phone.

The phone is Android 11 based and has the latest upgrades to make it easier to operate the phone. Among other features, different sensors like fingerprints, gyro, accelerometer, proximity, and compass will be given. Unlike many other phones, the Motorola Edge 20 presents an elegant headphone set. As for charging and audio jack, users will get a Type-C USB port.

Battery and Charging

It might raise a bit of confusion as the Motorola Edge 20 offers a 4000mAh battery. While at the same price other phones are providing more powerful batteries, Motorola has taken a back step. The company has done it to keep the phone as lightweight as possible. A 30W charger has been given with the phone that takes almost 4 to 5 hours to fully charge the phone.

Moto Edge 20 Price in Bangladesh

There is no solid information about the phone’s official release in Bangladesh. It has two variants where one is 8GB × 128GB, and the other one is 8GB × 256GB. If converted to BDT from EUR, the price for the first variant will be 50,500 Taka. The price for the second variant is still unknown as it’s not available yet.
