A 28-year-old man died from electrocution at a rickshaw garage in the city’s Uttar Badda area early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Maidul, a rickshaw puller and son of Ashek Ali of Sundarganj in Gaibandha district.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost, said Maidul came in contact with an electric wire at the garage around 12:45 am and fell unconscious.
Later, he was taken to DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 1:45 am.
