The talented filmmaker Bong Joon-Ho directed this black humor film. This original story was written by the director himself and Han Jin-won. It is all about how a poor family cons a wealthy family through getting employed in their house.

Song Kang-ho, Cho Yeo-Jeong, Lee Sun-Kyun, Park So-dam, Choi Woo-Shik, Lee Jung-Eun and Jang Hye-jin played the main characters in the film. This is the first South Korean film that received Oscar. It also got the Palme d’Or of Cannes for Best Picture.

The main concept of this crime drama, made by Juan Jose Campanella, came from the novel titled “The Question in Their Eyes” by Eduardo Sacheri. This Spanish and Argentine production film featured a nonlinear narrative that depicts a long-lost romance between a judiciary employee and his superior while investigating the 25 years old unresolved homicidal case.

The film, starring Ricardo Darin and Soledad Villamil, won the 82nd Oscar Award as Best Foreign Language Film. This was the second time that an Argentine movie won an Oscar.

The film got Golden Horse Awards and Golden Bauhinia Awards as Best Picture and Hong Kong Film Awards as Best Film in 2003. The remake of this film, ‘The Departed’, directed by Martin Scorsese, won Oscar in 2007 for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay.

This suspense drama, starring Shahab Hosseini and Taraneh Alidoosti, won Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year. In Cannes Film Festival (2016), Hosseini and Farhadi won the Best Actor and Best Screenplay awards respectively.

The film follows a man making a big step to steal a precious painting for getting a better opportunity in his career. The film stars Aksel Hennie, Synnve Macody Lund, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

The film got several nominations, including a BAFTA Award and four Amanda Awards. It won Empire Award for Best Thriller, Saturn Awards for Best International Film in 2013.

Who Am I: No System is Safe

In this film, the story follows a plastic surgeon getting obsessed by his own-created woman out of an in-frangible synthetic skin. Antonio Banderas played the surgeon here. Moreover, the film stars Elena Anaya, Jan Cornet, and Marisa Paredes.

The movie was first demonstrated in competition at the Cannes Film Festival 2011. It won the 65th BAFTA Awards for Best Film Not in the English Language.
