A fire that broke out at a polythene factory on the ground floor of a four-storey building at Mahuttuli in Old Dhaka Saturday night has been brought under control.
“The fire started at 11:30pm; 12 firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the flames under control at 12:20am,” Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Deputy Assistant Director (media cell) Shahjahan Sikder said.
However, the reasons for the fire mishap could not be known immediately, he added.
