Bangabandhu Corner opened in Islamabad

Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen Saturday inaugurated a Bangabandhu Corner at the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad.

The corner has been adorned with inscriptions and photographs and books and publications on Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The foreign secretary is leading a five-member delegation to the 17th Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers currently being held in the capital of Pakistan.

Bangladesh Ambassador Saudi Arabia and Permanent Representative to the OIC Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary and Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan Md Ruhul Alam Siddique were also present.

Director General Wahida Ahmed, Director Md Shakil Sahrior of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, officers and officials of the Bangladesh High Commission attended the inauguration ceremony.

Ruhul Alam Siddique presented the foreign secretary and the members of his entourage with copies of English and Urdu versions of the “Unfinished Memoirs” of Bangabandhu, which were published in Pakistan in 2012 and 2013, said the high commission.
