Six outsiders were detained with some drugs on Monday evening at Syed Amir Ali hall area of Rajshahi University.
They were detained while Police team and Rajshahi University proctorial body were on a drive in the campus.
RU proctor Md. Leakot Ali said to UNB, “We were in a drive at campus. Suspecting the place we went there and found two groups with drugs. Two were in a group and four other were in another group.They were not identified as the students of this university.”
“We handed them over to the Motihar police as they are not our students,” said the proctor.
Asked about the matter, Anwar Hossain Tuhin, officer in charge of Motihar Police Station, told UNB that he hadn’t learned about the matter yet as he was not on duty.
