Right-arm pacer Sumon Khan bagged four wickets in the two-day practice game of BCB’s High-Performance Unit, which ended in a draw on Tuesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
On day one, HP A team batted for 80 overs and posted a mammoth 406 runs for 7 wickets riding on the ton of Akbar Ali. In reply, HP B team lost all of their wickets scoring 266 runs in 80 overs.
While Afif Hossain led HP A team, Mohammad Naim was the captain of B team. Naim hit 86 for his team while pace-bowling all-rounder Mrittunjoy Chowdhury smashed 58.
For HP A team, Sumon bagged four wickets conceding 54 runs while left-arm spinner Hasan Murad scalped four wickets conceding 35 runs. Sumon also did well in the recently concluded 50-over competition.
