Seikh Russel fight back with crushing victory

After losing the previous two matches, Sheikh
Russel Krira Chakra staged a fight back with a crushing 5-0 goals victory
over Bangladesh Police Football Club in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)
Football held today at Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) here.

It was the sixth victory for Sheikh Russel in the ongoing league with the
day’s win while for Bangladesh Police Football Club it was their sixth
defeat.

In the day’s match, midfielder Mohammad Abdullah struck twice while
Nigerian midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Moneke, Brazilian forward Giancarlo
Rodrigues and Tajikistan defender Siyovush Asrorov supported him with a lone
goal each to secure Sheikh Russel’s emphatic victory on the day in the one-
sided affair.

Ugochukwu Obi Moneke opened an account scoring the first goal for Sheikh
Russel early in the 6th minute while Giancarlo Rodrigues doubled the lead for
Sheikh Russel in the 28th minute of the match.

Mohammad Abdullah further widened the team’s margin scoring the third goal
for Sheikh Russel in the 36th minute while after the lemon break, he
increased the margin scoring his second and fourth goal for Sheikh Russel in
the 69th minute of the match.

Siyovush Asrorov sealed the victory scoring the fifth goal for Sheikh
Russel in the 84th minute of the match.

Sheikh Russel KC clearly dominates the entire proceeding and notched their
deserving victory while Bangladesh Police Football Club was totally off-
colored as they failed to produce any real move during the proceeding.

The day’s win saw Sheikh Russel KC move to the fourth position in the
points table with 20 points from 12 matches while Bangladesh Police Football
Club stand at eighth spot with 12 points playing the same number of outings.

Friday’s matches: Arambagh Krira Sangha vs Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends
Society at Bir Flight Lieutenant Motiur Rahman Stadium at 3 pm and Saif
Sporting Club vs Brothers Union Club at BNS at 4 pm.
