The low over central parts of the Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards, intensified into a well-marked low and now lies over West-central Bay and adjoining area, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department .
It is likely to intensify further. Monsoon axis runs through West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh, it sait .
BMD on Wednesday forecast rain, thundershowers in many parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 6pm.
“Rain, thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty,squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal & Chattrogram divisions;at many places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said the Met office bulletin.
Day and night temperature may fall by (1-2) °C over the country
Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
Rain/thunder showers activity is likely to continue in the next two days.

Today’s highest temperature was recorded 35 degree Celsius at Dinajpur and the minimum 22 degree Celsius at Tetulia.
