Bangabandhu T20: Barishal’s Sumon Khan eyes final berth

Right-arm pacer Sumon Khan is excited to be part of Fortune Barishal in the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 Cup 2020.

He expressed his desire to play in the final of this event for his new team.

Sumon has been doing well in domestic cricket for the last few years. In the last domestic event, a 50-over competition comprising three teams, Sumon drew the attention of all. He took a five-for in the final.

“I’d like to represent Barishal in the final of Bangabandhu T20. I’ll put my best foot forward to ensure a win for my team,” Sumon said in a video message provided to the media by his team.

“This is the first time a Barishal based team came to play franchise-based tournament. I’m really excited to be a part of them in this journey. I believe we can make this a memorable event,” he added.

The five-team Bangabandhu T20 Cup will commence on November 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. A total of 24 matches will be played in this event at the same venue. The final will take place on December 18.
