4 arrested over killing of teenager in Cox’s Bazar

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four people in connection with the murder of a teenager in Cox’s Bazar.

The arrestees are Nurul Islam, 20, of Chakaria Barapukuria area, Arif Hossain, 36, of Lohagara Chunti area, Md. Hossain, 31, a resident of Ukhia Kutupalong Camp-2. and Abu Hena Hanif, 33, Maheshkhali Kalarmarchhara area.

RAB-15 Commander Lieutenant Colonel Khairul Islam at a press conference on Tuesday said that 13-year-old school student and three-wheeler driver Wayez was stabbed dead by his friend Nurul Islam with the help of three other arrestees.

He said that the body of the victim was found on Dhechuapalang road in Khuniapalang of Ramu on Feb 26.

After the victim’s father filed a case, RAB arrested the accused.

During the interrogation accused Nurul said that on the night of Feb 25 they stabbed Wayez to death and snatched the three-wheeler.

Legal action was being taken against the accused, RAB commander said.
