10-day programme to be held on Bangabandhu’s birth centenary

A 10-day special programme from March 17, 2021 to March 26, 2021 will be held at National Parade Ground marking the birth centenary celebration of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Golden Jubilee of the Independence.

The information was reveled today at a meeting of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee at the committee office here, said a press release.

National Professor Rafiqul Islam presided over the meeting while Chief Coordinator of the National Implementation Committee Dr Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury moderated the meeting.

Dr Chowdhury informed the meeting that the events will be held following the health rules and guests from home and abroad will take part at the events.

At the beginning of the meeting, a condolence motion was passed over the death of member of the National Committee for the celebration of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister’s Political Adviser HT Imam and journalist and columnist Syed Abul Maqsood and a minute’s silence was observed.

Former Minister AMA Muhith, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, State Minister for Information and Communication Technologies Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain and Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel joined the meeting, among others.
