1 held from Cox’s Bazar-bound bus at Teknaf checkpost; gold worth Tk 65L found

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Sunday arrested a man carrying seven gold bars after searching a Cox’s Bazar-bound bus at Haikong checkpost in Teknaf.

The arrestee was identified as Abdul Gani, 46, son of Siddik Ahmed, said a press release.

BGB men caught the man after raiding a special service bus of Palki Paribahan at 8:10 am.

The gold bars were concealed inside his belt, and valued at Tk 65 lakh.

A case has been filed over the matter.
