 ‘Parjatan Corporation needs to take customer service to next level’

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation is a reliable big name when it comes to serving customers.

But this is an age of competition. And to stay afloat in a competitive world, Parjatan Corporation will have to take its service to the next level to win customers’ loyalty and trust.

State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali said this on Sunday after inaugurating a restaurant at the rooftop of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation headquarters, Parjatan Bhaban, in the capital.

The tourism industry will have to play a vital role in achieving all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the minister said.

Tourism as an economic powerhouse has the potential to contribute, directly or indirectly to all of the goals.

Namely, it has been included as targets in Goals 8, 12 and 14 on inclusive and sustainable economic growth, sustainable consumption and production (SCP) and the sustainable use of oceans and marine resources.

However, when asked about international travel, the minister said: “We will resume flight operations as soon as all the countries, which have suspended flights for the time being over Covid-19 risk, lift their bans.”
