World Tourism Day observed in Natore

The World Tourism Day-2024 was observed today in the district like elsewhere in the world.

This year’s theme of the day is “Tourism and Peace”.

Marking the day, government and different organisations have chalked out various programmes to celebrate the day.

On the occasion, a colorful rally was brought out from the premises of the collectorate building which paraded the important streets and ended in the conference room of the deputy commissioner’s office.

After the rally, a discussion was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office with Deputy Commissioner (Acting) Md. Masudur Rahman in the chair.

Additional Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Shamsunnahar, District Police Inspector Abdul Jabbar, Shibli Sadiq executive director of non-government organization ‘Sathi’ president of Natore Press Club Faraji Ahmad Rafiq Baban, among others, were present.

The speakers said Natore district is one of the sectors of tourism. The tourism industry has immense potentia
l here. To exploit this potential, all the tourist places of the district including Rani Bhabani Rajbari, Uttara Ganabhaban, Chalanbil and Haltibil should be made tourist-friendly.
