The World Rabies Day-2024 was observed in the district today like elsewhere in the country.
The World Rabies Day is a global healthcare event observed on the 28th of September every year since 2007, established by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC. During this day, various local and global communities gather to advocate awareness of rabies disease and discuss the various means (such as vaccination to pets, etc.) to avoid it.
Marking the day, a rally was brought out from the premises of the District Livestock Office which paraded the important streets and ended coming at same place this morning.
After the rally, a discussion was held in the District Livestock Office of the district.
Vice-Principal of Bhola Government College Professor Mohammad Mohiuddin addressed the function as the chief guest with District Livestock Officer Md. Rafiqul Islam Khan in the chair.

‘s Office Md. Ali Suza, Additional District Livestock Officer Debasis Kumar Kundu and Training Officer of District Livestock Office Md. Anisur Rahman, among others, spoke.
