British High Commission in Dhaka has welcomed the next group of Chevening Scholars through an online event last week.
A total of 23 young Bangladeshi professionals have received the prestigious scholarships for the 2024-’25 academic year.
They will soon leave Bangladesh to begin one-year master’s degrees at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities, said British High Commission’s press release here today.
‘When they return home after their studies in the UK, they will be well-equipped to be leaders in their fields here in Bangladesh,’ said British Charge d’affaires James Goldman on the occasion.
Chevening Scholarships are the UK Government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations.
