Sammilito Peshajibi Parisad Chattogram (SPPC) today demanded monthly allowance for the families of those killed in quota movement across the country in July-August.
SPPC leader Mohammad Nazim Uddin Chowdhury and president of Chattogram District Bar Association made this demand at a press conference at a city hotel .
Meanwhile, SPPC placed seven- point demand to the government on behalf of its Chattogram unit.
The demands include, formation of a ‘National Reform Commission’ consisting of experts and scholars from various professions for fundamental reforms at all levels including constitution, judiciary and executive.
Meanwhile, SPPC member and Chattogram Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ) president Mohammad Shahnawaz said for the last 15 years, human rights and voting rights were snatched away from the nation.
The autocratic government destroyed the country’s economy and the state in the name of mega projects, mega corruption and money laundering.
SPPC convenor Zahidul Karim Kochi moderated the
press conference while its leaders Prof. Nasrul Kadir, Engineer Salim Mohammad Jane Alam and Advocate Enamul Haque among others were present at the press conference.
