Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has taken initiatives to make the movement of pedestrians and other public in general easier through freeing the city streets from traffic congestion
To attain the cherished goal, RMP has adopted a six-point plan effective today (Saturday) under proper traffic management.
Restriction has been imposed on car parking on both sides of main roads and in front of the shopping malls. No vendor shops will be allowed in the vacant spaces of Shaheb Bazar Boro Mosque other than the private car parking.
RMP Commissioner Muhammad Abu Sufiyan held a meeting with members of senior citizens forum and representatives of different business associations at Saheb Bazar Zero Points on Friday discussing and devising ways and means on how to free the zero point areas from traffic jams.
Commissioner Abu Sufiyan urged all concerned to follow the adopted plans and warned that legal action will be taken against the violations of the instructions.
