Police recovered 810 bottles of Phensedyl in Rajshahi

District police in a drive recovered 810

bottles of Phensedyl from Yusufpur village under Charghat Upazila in the

district last night, police said.

Acting on secret information, a police team conducted a drive in the village

and seized three gunny bags containing 810 bottles of phensedyl.

However, none was arrested in this connection as the drug-traffickers managed

to escape leaving behind the drugs.

Meanwhile, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in an anti-crime drive

arrested an alleged drug peddler with 200 grams of heroin in the city early

this morning.

The arrested person was Jamshed Ali, 56, son of Azizul Haque of Char

Asariadaha village under Godagari Upazila in the district.

A team of the elite force conducted a sudden drive at Rajshahi Railway

station area and caught Jamshed with the drugs red-handed.

Two separate cases were filed with the respective police stations and the

arrested person along with the seized contraband items were handed over to

the police.
