Kathmandu: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has said literature has played a crucial role in moving Nepali society towards a positive direction.
Addressing a programme organized here Saturday by Shami Literary Foundation to facilitate literary figures and release a book, Speaker Ghimire said that literature has made significant contributions to making society aware and ending social contradictions.
He said that the literature should serve the society.
On the occasion, litterateurs Krishna Gautam, Raprau Pokharel, Gyan Udas, Ram Babu Ghimire, Prem Binod Nandan and Krishna Prasad Dahal were feted.
