Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok celebrates National Day


Kathmandu: The Nepali Embassy in Bangkok has celebrated the National Day (the Constitution Day) with various programmes in Bangkok.

Delivering remarks during the celebration programme, Nepali Ambassador to Thailand, Dhan Bahadur Oli, spoke on the features of Constitution and its impacts in socio-economy and politics of Nepal and Nepali people.

He extended greetings and best wishes to all the guests on the happy occasion of National Day of Nepal. The Ambassador stated that bilateral relations between Nepal and Thailand are based on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect ever since the establishment of bilateral relations in 1959.

Political leaders and high-level officials of the Government of Thailand, Ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions, Consular representatives and members of UN and international organizations, business leaders, tour operators, social workers, media persons, members of Nepali and Thai-Nepali communities were present on the occasion, according to a press release issued by the
Embassy.

The Embassy had invited Tea and Agri business companies (Kanchanjangha Tea, Panchthar, Gorkha Tea Estate, Ilam, Asapuri organic, Kavre, Janata Agro and forestry Ltd Kathmandu) from Nepal to show case their products on the occasion of National Day programme.

Meanwhile, a business meeting was held between Nepali business delegation and members of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) at the FTI building in Bangkok. The participating Nepali business companies showcased their premium products and offer for testing to the invited guests at the reception.

The first Everest climber (2008) from Thailand, Vithitnan, was feted at the function. The function also witnessed Nepali cultural performances.

The Nepali restaurants as Everest Kitchen, Hungry Eyes and Diyalo operating in Bangkok served the Nepali cuisine on the occasion.
