Road Transport and Bridges Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan today directed the authorities concerned to complete the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project by 2024.
The adviser gave the instruction during a view exchange meeting at the BRT meeting room of its Bus Depot office in Gazipur after inspecting the construction work of the BRT project along with French Ambassador to Bangladesh Marie Masdupuy, said a press release.
Fouzul, also Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser, underscored the need for bringing creativity, efficiency and dynamism in BRT project implementation so that people can get their desired services.
The involvement of local administration and local people should be increased for proper planning and management of the project, he added.
The adviser said urgent measures should be taken to repair and renovate the BRT project’s properties that have been damaged during the movement.
