Forty-six people died of Covid-19 in different districts of Khulna Division in the last 24 hours, health officials said on Saturday.
During this time, more 772 Covid-19 patients were identified, confirmed Rasheda Sultana, director of the divisional health department.
According to the health director’s office, 18 people have died in Kushtia district, 10 in Khulna and 10 in Jessore districts.
Meanwhile, four people died in Jhenaidah, two in Meherpur and two in Narail.
On July 10, a highest number of 71 Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Khulna.
The total death toll in the division crossed 1500, said the health department.
The first corona patient was identified in Khulna division on March 19 last year in Chuadanga.
A total of 69,959 people were identified in 10 districts of the department since the onset of corona infection of which 45,252 recovered and 1,533 died.
